As well as writing for recording artists, James specialises in writing and producing original music and audio for Advertising Campaigns, Television, Film, Radio, Games and Multimedia productions.
Having his roots in Glasgow, James McCormack is a talented versitile musician, writer and producer. From an early age his mother sent him to learn classical guitar where he enjoyed and appreciated this rewarding discipline. He taught himself to play keyboards and embraced new technology. This has given him the ability to write, record and produce work himself.
James has delivered many successful music solutions to date for a wide variety of artists and client projects.
His extensive writing and musical experience allows him to deliver a wide musical spectrum from a full orchestra production to a modern style sound as his portfolio demonstrates.

Over the last 15 years, James has consulted to Scottish Radio Holdings, SMG, Reality Media Group and Picardy Television and has a very strong all round understanding of Media Companies, Advertising Agencies and their operational requirements.
His music and sound design has been broadcast on BBC1, ITV1, Channel 4, Five and many satellite channels.
His extensive client base includes Sony playstation, Standard Life, Royal Bank of Scotland, Savers, D2 and International Paints.
One film James scored music for was a Short Film production called "The Beauty of the Common Tool" which won top prize at the Palm Springs International Short Film Festival out of 624 entries and it was also short listed for an Academy Award!
As a Songwriter James has worked with many top writers and producers including Ian Morrow (Wet, Wet, Wet, Lisa Stansfield, Seal, Rod Stewart etc.) John McLaughlin (911, Busted, Five, Westlife). He has also written for Icelandic Artist Svala who signed the biggest deal for an independent artist to New York label Priority Records for $12 million. James has also recently contributed to American Recording Artist Indiana Gregg's new album "Something Like Me".
