Magnus Fiennes

Magnus Fiennes is a highly successful film and television composer, record producer and songwriter. He has worked with artists such as Pulp, Tom Jones and Morcheeba. In 1997 he produced the All Saints million seller single Never Ever - a No. 4 in the US and No. 1 throughout Europe; producing and co-writing on their eponymous 5 million selling album. He has composed several major film scores, including Onegin, and Chromophobia, starring Penelope Cruz, Ralph Fiennes & Ben Chaplin. He has scored numerous commercials and TV shows including the highly successful BBC drama Hustle. He recently completed creating and developing the $20 million animated cartoon series Freefonix. Magnus scored and wrote the themes for Vital Signs, a Tiger Aspect production, as well as scoring and writing the themes for Caspar The Friendly Ghost, the feature sequel for Classic Media USA. He has recently completed scoring the seventh series of Hustle for the BBC, having also scored series one, two, three, five and six. He scored Murphy's Law for Tiger Aspect, the dark thriller Five Days, a BBC/HBO co-production for which he wrote a wonderfully evocative opening title song, and Last Enemy for Box TV. Magnus has also scored both series of the gritty and tough drama, The Fixer, for Kudos, as well as the feature film Rounding Up Donkeys for Sigma Films.

As an in demand producer arranger programmer and re-mixer, Magnus has worked with a diverse range of artists including Jamelia, Neneh Cherry, Marriane Faithful, Bryan Ferry, Hal David, Seal, Yello, Eagle-Eye Cherry, David McAlmont, Ian McCulloch, Roland Gift, Lenny Kravitz, Nigel Kennedy, Daniel Lanois, Trilok Gurtu, Damien Hirst, Dot Allison, Geneva and Metisse as well as pop acts such as the Spice Girls, Boyzone and currently on her 2010 world tour, Shakira. He also composed and produced much of the two multi-million selling albums from the controversial girl quartet Bond.

Recent work includes producing the double platinum 'Watching Angels Mend' for Australian singer songwriter Alex Lloyd, a collaboration with prestigious Canadian violinist Lara St John on a ground-breaking album of 'Bach With Beats' for Sony Classical, co-writing material with Massive Attack and The Sugababes and co-writing and producing album tracks and singles for Bertine Zetlitz (a Norwegian number one).

In addition Magnus has written and produced a number of featured songs creating title song for Paramount's 'Addicted to Love' (featuring Neneh Cherry), Madonna's 'Next Best Thing' and Scala Pictures music biz satire 'Five Seconds to Spare.' He also produced tracks for Working Title's Rowan Atkinson vehicle 'Johnny English'.

Magnus has written music for many major commercial campaigns including Coca-Cola, Ford, Pepsi Cola, Gordons Gin, Grolsh, Railtrack, Caesar's Palace, Rover, Sega, Nintendo, Ferrero Rocher and Braun.

As a keyboard player he has toured extensively with blues guitar legend Gary Moore in an all-star line up with Pink Floyd's Guy Pratt on bass and jazz luminary Gary Husband on drums.
