The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards
The Pipes and Drums of The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards have their origin in the small pipe band that came to The Royal Scots Greys in 1946. Although a top class Pipe Band, all members are fully trained and experienced Tank crewmen.
The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards regiment pipes and drums band tour widely and perform in competitions, concerts and parades. Their most famous piece is Amazing Grace, which reached number one in the charts in the United Kingdom, Ireland and South Africa in 1972.
The band released a new CD, Spirit Of The Glen, in November 2007 through Universal Music, featuring a number of classic pipe tunes along with some modern arrangements.
